The 2020 Presidential Primaries have begun. Folks have a lot of questions for voters who support Bernie 2020. Here's some suggestions...
Bernie is not a Democrat
It's true. Bernie is an independent, but...
- Senator Bernie Sanders votes in line with Trump's position 11.4% of the time, versus his Democratic colleagues: Sens. Joe Manchin 60.8%, Heidi Heitkamp 54.4%, Joe Donnelly 53.8% and Doug Jones 50%. In fact, there are only three Dem senators who vote with Trump less than Bernie.
Bernie is too old
Bernie will be 79 at the beginning of the 2020 presidency.
Bernie Sanders is a vital man, who, in the last two years has campaigned across the country for: the midterms, the DNC tour, 170+ Medicare for All rallies and more. I think he has this covered.
Bernie can't win the presidency
Morning Consult surveyed registered voters nationwide for their Senator Approval Rankings from July 1 - Sept. 25th and found Bernie Sander's approval at 63% with Patrick Leahy (D-VT) close behind at 61%. Of the top 5 senators in the country only two are Democrats: Leahy and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) who had a 58% approval rating. Independent Angus King (ME) and John Thune (R-SD) followed at 58%.
